Brief Project History
- 1998 - meditation group of Brno formed
- 1999 - former kindergarten in Trtilkova Street rented
- 2003 - house with the premises purchased for CZK 2 625 500, becoming the property of the Nydahl Endowment Fund; the money was raised thanks to donations, a collection, loans and a grant by the "Mosty nadeje" foundation
- 2004 - small reconstruction, connecting the entrance hall and lounge
- 2005 - repayment of all loans for house purchase; the first discussion on the Centre reconstruction
- 2006 - architectonic studies, amendment procedure
- 2007
- January - final design of the new Buddhist Centre House, interior design, preparation of documents for planning and building permission
- February - a fundraiser for grant application contacted
- March - the new house project selected by the South Moravia Region among the best 30 projects
- March - December - design finished, documentation for the building permission
- 2008
- February - the South Moravia Region and Town District Brno-sever became the partners of the project
- application for European fund grant submitted - May - building permission awarded
- application to be incorporated in the Integrated Plan of Brno Development - September - grant for CZK 12 million and a loan of the same amount from a private foundation; project implementation started
- February - the South Moravia Region and Town District Brno-sever became the partners of the project
- 2009
- February - premises rented in Spitalka Street where the center is located temporarily for the period of construction
- March - April - demolition of the house
- May - project documentation and tender for general contractor
- June - construction started
