House Purchase

In 2003, the Town Council sold us the former kindergarten with the premises for CZ 2 625 500 and the house became the property of Nydahl Endowment Fund, which administers all assets purchased by the DWB Centres in Czechia. The necessary amount was collected with contribution of Buddhists in Czechia and abroad, as well as thanks to sponsors in the form of a collection and loans. All loans for house purchase were repaid in 2005.

New House Funding

The construction of the new Brno Buddhist Centre is the first project where Buddhists have decided to apply for a grant from the EU, while all other projects of the Nydahl Endowment Fund used our own funds. We were awarded a grant from a private foundation which covers half of the investment (CZK 12 million). The remaining CZK 12 million are borrowed from the same foundation as an interest-free loan. We will be repaying this loan gradually.

Regular Monthly Payments

The Centre members have voluntarily agreed to pay their regular membership dues. These will cover all expenditures related to the center operation, currently we pay a rent of almost CZK 50 thousand. After the Diamond Way House is built, the monthly expenditures should be around CZK 30 thousand and the remaining money will be used for debt repayment.
